Welcome to Vidverse ("App"). We are fully committed to protecting your privacy and handling your Personal Data with the highest level of security and transparency, in compliance with applicable data protection laws and Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines.
This Privacy Policy describes how your information is collected, used, and safeguarded when you interact with our App and its services.
Please read this Privacy Policy ("Policy") carefully to understand how we collect, use, process, and store your Personal Data. By using Vidverse, you acknowledge the data practices described in this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that identifies or relates to you ("Personal Data") in the following ways:
A. Information You Provide to Us Directly
l Photos and Camera Access: To use our core AI image generation features (e.g., editing, creating avatars), you may grant Vidverse permission to access your iOS device’s camera or Photos library (via the system photo picker). We only process the specific photos or media files you explicitly select and upload.
l Gender Information: When using specific features like "Magic Avatars," you may choose to provide a gender preference (e.g., Female, Male, Other) solely to guide the AI generation process.
l Support & Communications: If you contact our customer support team, we collect your name, email address, and the details/attachments of your inquiry.
B. Third-Party Account Sign-In (Social Authentication)
To make your experience seamless, you can log in to Vidverse using third-party authentication services. If you choose to use these, we collect the following data:
l Sign in with Apple: If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive a unique, stable user identifier and your email address (or a proxy email address provided by Apple if you choose to use "Hide My Email").
l Other Social Logins (e.g., Facebook, Google): If you choose to log in via other platforms, we may receive your public profile information (such as name and profile picture) and email address, subject to your privacy settings on those platforms.
C. Information Collected Automatically & Tracking
When you use Vidverse, we and our authorized third-party partners automatically collect certain technical and usage information:
l Device and Technical Data: Operating system version (iOS), mobile network information, device model, preferred language, IP address, and unique identifiers (such as the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), subject to your explicit permission).
l App Usage & Engagement Data: App version, country associated with your App Store download, session frequency, duration, features accessed, and performance metrics.
l Subscription and Subscription Status: Fulfillments of in-app purchases, active subscription status, and billing duration. We do not collect or store credit/debit card numbers.
2. Processing of Your Photos and Face Data
When you upload photos to use our AI or artistic effects, our systems analyze the images to identify basic visual elements, including facial positions and structures.
l No Identification (Non-Biometric Identification): The data generated from your images ("Face Data") is used solely for real-time artistic enhancement and generating AI avatars. Vidverse does not use Face Data to identify, verify, or authenticate your individual identity.
l On-Device & Short-Term Cloud Processing: Depending on the feature, images are processed either on your device or uploaded securely to our cloud servers. Face Data is strictly transient and used only for the immediate processing required to deliver your requested output.
l Data Retention & Deletion: All uploaded photos and analytical Face Data are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers once the requested processing is complete or within a maximum of 24 hours. We do not maintain any long-term storage of your photos or facial features.
l No Model Training: We do not share your photos or Face Data with third parties for their independent use. We do not use your personal photos or Face Data to train separate, general-purpose AI models or commercial products.
3. AI Processing and Core Technical Providers
To provide our core AI content generation features (such as creating custom avatars or processing media), when you actively and voluntarily upload images, videos, audio files, or text prompts ("User Content"), we securely transmit this data via encrypted channels to leading technical service providers for real-time model inference and computing.
A. Authorized AI Service Providers
We partner with the following infrastructure and AI technology leaders to perform technical processing on our behalf:
l Alibaba Cloud (and its affiliates): Provides secure cloud infrastructure and localized AI model inference services.
l Google Cloud / Google LLC: Provides high-performance cloud computing, storage, and technical support.
l Volcengine / ByteDance (and its affiliates): Provides advanced enterprise-level model inference and algorithmic support.
B. Our AI Data Protection Commitments
In strict alignment with Apple’s Data Minimization principles, we guarantee the following protections regarding your User Content:
l Strict Processing Limits: These providers act strictly as data processors. They handle your data solely to fulfill your immediate requests and have no independent right to control or view your content.
l No Model Training: We explicitly contract with these partners to ensure that none of your uploaded photos, media, or prompt data is ever used to train, fine-tune, or improve general-purpose AI models, advertising engines, or other commercial products.
l No Extended Retention: Once the AI model inference is complete and the generated result is delivered to your device, the source content is systematically purged from the service providers' processing nodes.
l User Consent & Control: We will request your explicit permission (via clear in-app prompts or permissions) before processing any sensitive media. If you choose not to grant access, we simply will not offer the specific AI function, and no data will be transmitted.
4. Cloud Infrastructure, Storage, and International Data Transfers
A. Infrastructure Hosting
Apart from model inference, Vidverse operates on secure, enterprise-grade cloud environments hosted by trusted infrastructure partners (such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, and Alibaba Cloud). These platforms host our application backend and database. Like our AI partners, infrastructure hosts are legally restricted from accessing, extracting, or repurposing your personal data for any analytics or secondary marketing purposes. We implement robust technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data during both transmission and storage.
B. International Data Transfers
Vidverse is a global application. Depending on your country of residence, the data we collect may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in jurisdictions outside your home country (including servers located in the United States, Singapore, or other regional cloud hubs).
Whenever we transfer personal data across borders, we implement robust safeguard mechanisms—such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent legal frameworks approved by relevant data protection authorities—to ensure your information receives a level of protection identical to that required in your home region.
5. How We Use Your Information
We process your Personal Data based on the following legal grounds and purposes:
l To Fulfill Services (Contractual Necessity): To deliver core app features, generate AI content, and authenticate your account (via Sign in with Apple or other social methods).
l To Manage In-App Purchases: To verify subscription status via Apple’s App Store system.
l To Provide Support: To troubleshoot, address technical bugs, and respond to inquiries.
l To Improve the App (Legitimate Interest): To analyze crash logs, monitor stability, and understand feature performance using aggregated, non-identifiable usage data.
l To Deliver Tailored Ads: With your explicit permission under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, to show you personalized advertisements.
6. Data Sharing and Third-Party Tools
We do not sell your Personal Data. We share your data only with contractually obligated service providers who assist our operations, or when legally required.
Apple Ecosystem and Payment Processing
All financial transactions for in-app purchases and subscriptions are handled exclusively by Apple via the App Store In-App Purchase system. Your financial data is processed in accordance with Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Third-Party Analytics and Advertising SDKs
We integrate select third-party Software Development Kits (SDKs) to analyze app performance and assist with marketing. These partners may collect data via their SDKs in compliance with their own privacy policies:

7. Apple Privacy Controls and Your Choices
A. App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
In accordance with iOS requirements, we will ask for your explicit permission before tracking your activity across apps and websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes. You can modify your tracking permissions at any time by going to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on your iOS device.
B. Device Permissions
You can manage or revoke Vidverse’s access to your iOS device features (such as Camera, Photos, or Notifications) at any time through the iOS system settings (Settings > Vidverse).
C. Account and Data Deletion
We provide a straightforward way for you to delete your account and all associated Personal Data. You can initiate account deletion directly within the App’s settings menu. Once requested, your account, history, and associated data will be permanently purged from our databases, unless retention is strictly required by law.
8. Children's Privacy
Vidverse is not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or higher age thresholds in specific jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with Personal Data, we will immediately delete it from our servers.
9. Data Security
We implement rigorous technical and administrative safeguards to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and restricted cloud access. However, no data transmission over the internet or cloud storage can be guaranteed 100% secure. Any transmission of information is at your own risk.
10. Links to Third-Party Services
Our App may contain links to external websites or services that are not operated or controlled by us. This Privacy Policy applies only to Vidverse. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or data practices of any third-party sites or services.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. For any material changes, we will notify you through an in-app alert before the changes take effect.
